I am writing this a little late: a week or two after I already had done my genius pitch. So i am going to be talking about what went well and what I can approve upon for my next pitch in April. First I could have been more prepared for my presentation. I thought I was decently prepared for my pitch and I knew enough about my topic, but when I stepped in front of my class, I forgot everything I had prepared for. So for my next presentation I want to have a fully memorized, word for word script. Also my slideshow could be improved since it was a little bland. I should add words to each slide that remind me of what part of my presentation I am at. I think I had a very good idea, just my presentation skills hurt how I was able to portray what my project is about. With better preparation and a better slide show, I should be able to make my next pitch a lot better.

This blog post is a little past due. The reason I am doing it so late is because I didn't know what I was doing my project on. I was thinking about picking up trash around my city, but that was not an idea I was excited to work on at all. So now I have made my project relating to my job(umpiring) which I think I will enjoy much more. I am going to make ads and put them on instagram and facebook in the last quarter of 2018. The reason I am doing it towards the end of the year is because that is when most people sign up for umpiring since it is a few months before the baseball season starts. I will target kids 13+ who have an interest in baseball. On top of that I am going to create a more refined rule book for the new kids since most of them will not want to read the full book. This will help them learn the rules faster since it will be shorter and easier to comprehend. I may add more parts to my project if I see any ways to improve the umpire program that I am apart of, but I am glad that I changed my project before it was too late.
